Let's just say that I wanted to do really well this week with my exercising. Unfortunately, it hasn't been going well. Monday morning I did get up early to work out before heading to work at school. But the past three days, I haven't been able to get myself up early enough, or when I do get up I just don't feel like working out. I really need to get working out more if I want to make any changes. My goal is to work out tomorrow morning. I'm also really hoping that I'll be up to working out more next week once Kate is back. Hopefully we'll be able to work out together a few times. I'd like to think that even though I haven't been working out this week, I have been moving around more, since I've been working in the preschool for 4 hours each afternoon. It is in the infant room, so I don't have to move as much as I would with some of the other kids, but it got to be better than just sitting at home on my couch. I'm also trying to do better at drinking more water. While I'm at school working, I try to have my water bottle close by. I haven't weighed myself this week, and I'm kind of afraid to. Maybe I'll wait a few more days and do it this weekend.

The start
Based on the title of this blog, you may have some ideas of what it is going to be about. It is going to be about my journey with losing weight. I'm hoping to lose weight to not only improve my physical apperance, but other things as well, including my self esteem and my overall health. I'm hoping that this blog will provide extra motivation for me to lose weight and improve my health. So let me begin by sharing how I'm doing so far and some of my goals.
Working Out-
Over the past 7 days, I have worked out 5 days. On Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and today I did some walking/jogging. Each time I walked/jogged at least a mile. Some days I did at least 1 1/2 miles. On Tuesday, I spent 25 minutes doing a "Dancing with the Stars" video.
Eating Habits-
Eating more nutrious food has always been a struggle for me in the past when I've worked at losing weight. Some times I think that I eat even worse when I start to exercise. This week I haven't really been paying much attention to what I eat. I am going to try and eat out less in order to eat better foods (and to save money). I need to work on eating more fruits and vegetables.
Drinking Water-
Most of the water I drink each day is with the medicine that I take in the morning and night. I probably drink at least 3 glasses this way. I generally don't drink more than 6 glasses a day. I'm working on drinking more, because I know that it will help me to feel better and possibly help me lose more weight.
Goals-
I would like to get down to 200 pounds by Christmas. This would mean losing about 25 pounds. I also want to keep up with my working out. My goal is to work out at least 30 minutes a day, 5 times per week. A couple of times, I'd like to try working out about 40 or more minutes. I'd also like to be able to walk and jog farther. I'd also like to drink at least 7 glasses of wate a day.
Current Weight (as of a couple of days ago)-225 lbs.
